Welcome to the 2024 (12th) China Downstream Technology and Markets International Conference to be held in Dongying, Shandong during June 18-20!

At present, the world is accelerating the evolution of great changes unseen in a century, and China is in a critical period of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. "Leading the construction of a modern industrial system with scientific and technological innovation" is listed as the first of nine key tasks of economic work this year. The conference was held to implement the major strategic deployment of the Party Central Committee and The State Council on carbon peak carbon neutrality in the petrochemical industry, give full play to the key supporting role of scientific and technological innovation in the development of new quality productive force. It is a specific measure to give full play to the key supporting role of scientific and technological innovation in the development of new quality productive force, and promote the low-carbon development, green development, high-end development, intelligent development, and international development of oil refining and chemical enterprises.

The conference theme is "Shaping for New Quality Productive Force of Energy and Chemicals", focusing on the technological advancement and high-quality development driving the transformation and upgrade of the petrochemical and chemical industry. It aims to establish a path towards energy conservation, carbon reduction, and circular economy within the industry, as well as expand the industrial chain and promote technological innovation for high value-added products. The discussion will center around key industry topics such as catalytic technology, energy management, resource recycling, and low carbon raw material.

The conference was hosted by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and Dongying Port Economic Development Zone, and co-hosted by Chemical Industry Society of China. Dongying City is located in Shandong Province, the largest chemical industry province in China, with the advantages of oil and gas resources and port convenience, is a key city in China's petrochemical industry and one of the key planning and development of chemical parks. The meeting will also invite stakeholders to discuss the development potential and challenges of Dongying's petroleum and chemical industry, accelerate the pace of the park's innovation-driven and green low-carbon transformation, and help the high-quality development of Dongying's petrochemical industry.
